Denpasar – A young lecturer from ITB STIKOM Bali, Dr. Gede Angga Pradipta, ST, M.Eng was chosen as one of the assessors for the Informatics and Computer Independent Accreditation Institute (LAM INFOKOM). With the status of assessors, one of the tasks of Angga Pradipta and friends is to carry out the accreditation process for the Informatics and Computer Studies Program at all universities in Indonesia.
Gede Angga Pradipta’s success as one of the assessors for LAM INFOKOM is not only a source of pride for Angga Pradipta and his family but at the same time pride for ITB STIKOM Bali. This is because not everyone can become an assessor due to various academic administrative requirements and the test selection process that must be carried out.
Gede Angga Pradipta, born in Singaraja, Buleleng, started his career as a lecturer at ITB STIKOM Bali shortly after graduating from the Masters of Engineering (S-2) UGM Yogyakarta in 2014. Three years later, in 2017, Angga Pradipta returned to UGM Yogyakarta to continue his doctoral studies. by taking the Doctor of Computer Science until graduating in 2021 with the Cum Laude predicate. Previously in 2012, Angga Pradipta completed his bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Engineering, Atma Jaya University, Yogyakarta. After graduating from the Doctoral Degree from UGM, Dr. Gede Angga Pradipta with Dr. Roy Rudolf Huzein, ST, MT and Dr. Dandy Pramana Hostiadi, S.Kom, MT was entrusted with managing the ITB STIKOM Bali Center of Excellence
Met in his office, ITB STIKOM Bali Center of Excellence, Renon campus, Denpasar, Thursday (25/8/2022) Angga Pradipta admitted that he was grateful to be chosen and given the mandate as one of the LAM INFOKOM assessors. “Incidentally last period there was a vacancy for an assessor, I registered and after going through the selection process, I finally took part and was accepted. Yes, be grateful,” said Angga Pradipta.
Angga Pradipta explained, study programs that are grouped in the Informatics and Computer science cluster, are in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Number: 257/M/KPT/2017 concerning Names of Study Programs in Higher Education, the Association Computer Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Information Technology Curricula 2017 includes study programs: Computer Science/Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering (Computer Technology/Computer Engineering/Instrumentation Electronics), Information Systems (Informatics Management, Accounting Information Systems/Accounting Computerization) , Systems and Information Technology and Information Technology
“The accreditation process for all informatics and computer study programs throughout Indonesia is now being carried out by LAM INFOKOM,” said Angga Pradipta.
In Indonesia, the number of informatics and computer study programs recorded at PDDikti in 2019 is 1,702 study programs (1,224 study programs have been accredited and 478 have not been accredited). Meanwhile, the number of informatics and computer assessors who have worked as BAN-PT assessors is 70 people. With the presence of LAM INFOKOM, it is estimated that the number of assessors will not be more than 150 people. “As far as I know for the second batch, after being selected as an assessor for LAM INFOKOM at a recent meeting, I was the only one from Bali, yes from STIKOM Bali,” he said.
