Level Up IT Community Collaboration UKM PROGRESS x IDC

On February 23, 2025, UKM PROGRESS held a sharing session with the Instiki Developer Club (IDC) at the Indonesian Business and Technology Institute (INSTIKI) campus. This event aims to strengthen relations between IT communities and share insights about organizations, work programs, and challenges in the world of technology. IDC has a solid organizational structure with various divisions such as Frontend, Backend, Cyber Security, UI/UX, Intermediate, and Data Science, each of which has its own learning roadmap.

One of IDC’s flagship programs is Ngobar (Ngoding Bareng), where each division runs classes with pre-prepared materials. In addition, IDC also holds annual events such as Tech Fest, Hackathon, and technology and business seminars. Hackathon is an interesting event with intensive mentoring and pitching of project results to improve participants’ skills.

IDC faces several challenges, such as low member participation in website projects, as well as the phenomenon where classes are crowded at the beginning but gradually become quieter. However, with a clear roadmap and strong commitment, this community continues to grow to produce competitive IT talents.

Through this sharing session, UKM PROGRESS gained valuable insights into IT community management and opened up opportunities for collaboration in various projects, hackathons, and seminars. With the spirit of innovation and cooperation, it is hoped that both communities can continue to grow and contribute to the world of technology.
